WSOP Rio- Summary Day 6

Even though it is true that no players took home the glory and a ring on this day, there were very exciting developments indeed. At the WSOP Brazil Main Event, the prize pool was opened and players will seek to ensure a ticket to the final round starting tomorrow.

Still, there was also some parallel action, as the two initial flights of the Monster Stack began and the first flight of the High Roller event was held. Both tournaments—each guaranteeing R$ 1 million—will be the gathering place for many players who still have a lot to give.

Special mention goes to the most important event in the history of Latin American poker. Partypoker LIVE takes pride in sponsoring MILLIONS Rio, to be held in March 2019, which guarantees a staggering R$20,000,000. This important announcement was made to the beat of Brazilian samba at a great party.

The second stage of the Main Event featured 1,637 entries and a prize pool that went over the R$ 4 million guarantee, as it climbed to R$ 5,454,647. Out of the 644 players who opened this stage, only 163 are left, earning R$ 6,436 each thus far. Action will continue at the Belmond Copacabana Palace starting at 1:00 PM.

For its part, Day 1A of the High Roller Event featured 53 entries and 28 players who have already moved on to the final stage. Anthony Barranqueiros took the lead during the first flight with 637,500 chips, and was joined in this path by Alejandro Giraudo, Fernando Grow, Rafael Caiaffa and Fernando Vianna.

Simultaneously, the first flight of the R$ 1,000 Monster Stack has begun. 262 entries were registered on Day 1A, which, coupled with the 263 entries recorded on Day 1B, which ended in the early hours of this morning, add up to 525 entries. History will continue to be written with two additional preliminary stages.
